Root CA public key:

You can download the root CA publik key here. Install it into the “Trusted Root Certification Authorities” container (or similar – refer to your OS/browser documentation), to get rid of certificate warnings when connecting to the server in any of the ways below.

Webmail:

You’ll find the webmail on https://mail.pal.pp.se/ or https://mail.ithora.se/

Incoming mail:

POP3 is SSL/TLS encrypted and listens to ports 110 and 995 at address mail.pal.pp.se (and others). Do NOT configure your client to use “Secure Password Authentication (SPA)”.

IMAP4 is SSL/TLS encrypted and listens to ports 143 and 993 at address mail.pal.pp.se (and others). Do NOT configure your client to use “Secure Password Authentication (SPA)”.

Outgoing mail:

SMTP is SSL/TLS encrypted and requires authentication. It listens to ports 25, 465 and 587 at address mail.pal.pp.se (and others). Do NOT configure your client to use “Secure Password Authentication (SPA)”. You could also use the SMTP server of your local ISP (see below for a list). Note that many ISP’s block port 25 to other than their own SMTP server(s).

Shell access:

SSH listens to port 222 at address pal.pp.se (and others). Not all users have shell access.

FTP access:

FTP is SSL/TLS encrypted and listens to ports 21 and 990 at address pal.pp.se (and others). Not all users have FTP access.
